We are always looking for good people to lead or assist our programs in schools. If
you are interested in becoming a Musical Minds Instructor, then read on, as these
are the qualities that we seek for those who would like to join our team:
  1. A strong background in music is important, and a knowledge of popular kids
    music and movie themes is a big plus. A music degree is an excellent
    advantage, although we do not require it.
  2. Classroom management skills are highly desirous. We like to hire people with
    a strong background in working with children.
  3. Only the most responsible individuals need apply. As we work with children,
    we can only take on those who understand the need to always be on time and
    alert to the tiniest problems that may occur.
  4. An ability to motivate and inspire kids to learn to play and read music.

You will need a reliable vehicle to get to and from schools and to carry a few
keyboards, and you will need to be able to work two to five weekday afternoons.

Where are the positions located?

Currently, our greatest need for new instructors is in the following areas:
  1. Seattle, Washington (particularly in the Eastside communities, such a Kirkland,
    Bellevue and Redmond.
  2. Los Angeles (particularly in the Southbay communities, such as Long Beach,
    Torrance and that vicinity).
  3. Orange County & San Diego County, California (most areas).
  4. Portland Oregon.
  5. Dallas, Texas area, particularly in the Rockwall and Plano areas.
  6. Santa Barbara, California.
If you are in the San Francisco Bay or Sacramento areas, we expect to be staffing in
January.
